Ruboss Technology Corporation: The Flexible Rich Internet Applications Company.
Ruboss is based in the Vancouver, BC area. It focuses on Rich Internet Application development, training and workshops. Ruboss is available for custom software development and consulting in the following areas:
- Adobe Flex (regardless of your server-side technology choice, we’re flexible)
- Ruby on Rails
- Amazon S3 and EC2
Our core competency is Adobe Flex, and where we have unique insight is on how to best integrate Adobe Flex with Ruby on Rails.
Peter has been developing rich client applications for over 7 years. He has worked with Flex full-time since July 2004, including being a key part of the team that won the 2006 Adobe MAX Award for RIA/Web Development. Before becoming a Flex developer, Peter was a Java Swing developer for a Silicon Valley BPM startup. Peter is the author of the Manning book Flexible Rails and is the organizer of The Vancouver Ruby/Rails Meetup group. Peter is also a frequent speaker on using Flex and Rails together, including presentations at The Vancouver Flash/Flex Meetup, a standing-room-only RailsConf 2007 BOF, The Vancouver RIA Developer Camp and Rails to Italy in Pisa.
Prior to joining Ruboss, Dima worked with the OLAP Group at Business Objects/SAP in Vancouver, BC and the Enterprise Software Group at RIM in Waterloo, Ontario developing enterprise web applications. Dima discovered his passion for web development in 2000. Since then, he has worked and studied in Canada, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom. He has been a part of small, medium as well as large, distributed teams and has participated in all stages of product development. Over the past 7 years Dima has worked with a wide range of web technologies, databases and operating systems. Dima holds a Master of Software Systems degree from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Bath, Bath, United Kingdom.

We are currently self-funded, but we are considering raising seed funding so that we can execute on our vision faster.
